- 10 -Case 4374ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA shelve carrier assembly (10) is disclosed forallowing a fork lift truck (14) to carry a series ofassembled modular shelves (16) from one location toanother without unloading or disassembling the shelveassembly (16). The carrier assembly (10) includes alongitudinally extending member (26) mountable to theforks (12) of the fork lift truck (14), from whichseries of perpendicular cross-members (28, 30, 32, 34,36, 38, 40) are spacedly located to align with thevertical walls (28a, 30a, 32a, 36a, 38a, 40a) ofthe shelve assembly (16). Each cross member (28,30,32, 34, 36, 38, 40) has a pair of C-type clamps (44a,44b) which clamp to the walls (28a, 30a, 32a, 34a, 36a,38a, 40a) of the shelve assembly (16) thus allowing thefork lift truck (14) to pick up and move the shelveassembly (16).
