ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn improved roof insulation structure and method ofmaking the structure for greatly increasing the insulationquality of a metal building roof. The structure includesa self-supporting low to medium density thermal insulationblanket having elongated lines of weakness in the topthereof. The blanket spans the width between a pair ofadjacent and parallel roof purlins with one end of theblanket folded up one side of the purlin, folded acrossthe top of the purlin and folded down the opposite sideof the purlin, thereby enclosing the top and opposite sidesof the purlin. The blanket provides means for receivinga thick blanket of low density thermal insulation insidethereof and between the purlins for increasing the insula-tion "R" factor of the insulated roof.- 17 -
