ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURECompounds are prepared corresponding to theformulawherein Y represents chloro or R'; R representswherein X independently represents alkyl of 1 to 4carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkyl-thio of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkyl sulfonyl of 1to 4 carbon atoms, trifluoromethyl, chloro, fluoroor bromo; n represents an integer of 0 to 2 or Xnrepresents 3,4-methylenedioxy and R' represents R,with the proviso that R and R1 can be the same ordifferent. The compounds are useful as intermediatesfor the preparation of insecticidal substituted pyri-dine methyl esters of cyclopropane carboxylic acids.
