A distributor containing an apparatus for suppressing noise is disclosed. The distributor is comprised of a rotor (31) and a plurality of stationary terminals (32), wherein a hollow insulating member (35) is introduced into, discharging air gap formed between a discharging electrode (33) of the rotor and each of discharging electrodes (34) of the stationary terminals. Thereby, a spark discharge, occurring between the discharging electrodes of the rotor and each said stationary terminal, is generated via a through hole formed inside the hollow insulating member.
