Apparatus for hot air drying of continuously moving textile material, comprising : a) at least one perforated carrier which transports the textile material, b) drying zones which are arranged one after the other in the direction of transport of the textile material and have differing air circulation and form the blast drying zones and suction drying zones, c) blowers to generate a hot air current, characterised by the following features : d) one blast drying zone (e. g. 7) and one suction drying zone (e. g. 14) is arranged in each case in two drying levels which lie one above the other and through which the textile material passes in succession ; e) these drying zones (7, 14) are connected to a common blower (17) in such a way that the blast drying zone is in communication with the delivery side and the suction drying zone is in communication with the intake side of the blower (17) ; f) a plurality of such drying sections provided with a single blower (17) are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the apparatus (1).
