A method for preparing a [β-(N,N-dimethylamino)alkyl]-ether by reacting a bismethohalide of bis[β-(N,N-dimethylamino)alkyl]ether represented by the following general formula(wherein R and R' denote alkyl groups having 2 - 3 carbon atoms, and X denotes halogen atom,) with the aliphatic amine having 40 - 170°C of boiling point at atmospheric pressure and having one or two primary amino groups in a molecule thereof at an increased pressure.
