The fiber web taken by the stripper roller from the carding machine is fed to a delivery point to form a sliver. The movement of the web is induced by at least two air streams in opposing directions, meeting at the delivery point, through the rotation of two rollers with a concave structure, so that the web is carried parallel to the plane of the stripper roller and inwards to its center. The rollers are divided into groups, so that each group works together at a gap from the stripper roller. The assembly gives a simple conversion action to turn the carded fiber web into sliver.
