The watering device for calves has a hose which can be clipped into a container at one end, while at the other end there is a suction tap with a suction hole. The tap is fixed to the hose with a connecting device which has a hollow connecting body with a flange and a retaining nut. There is a non return valve between the tap and the hose end. The hose n1) is passed through the connecting body (9) and is fixed by means of an internal spreader brush (10). A holding plate (16) is arranged between the connecting body and the retaining nut (13) for releasably fitting the tap (11). The non-return valve (2) is arranged at the end of the hose away from the tap.
