The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for the production and removal of wet bruised grain from a silo. Bruised grain is supplied to the silo as corn cob mix or as grain and water separately, water being used, by infeed to the lower portion of the silo, in a quantity such that at least one lower layer of the bruised grain in the silo can be pumped, and this portion can be matched to the demand by a single or a plurality of livestock feeding places.
