False-twist crimping machine and process for bridging brief voltage losses on textile machines

In a false-twist crimping machine, the delivery units, on the one hand, and the false twisters, on the other hand, are driven by different drive motors. The drives are coupled to one another electrically or by gearing, in such a way that, even in a power cut, the ratio between the average speed of the surfaces of the false twister and the yarn speed cannot fall below a predetermined value. Electrical and gearing solutions are described.
