A terminal connector for connecting the end of a flexible cable (1) to a terminal of a lead-acid storage battery includes a housing (8) of insulating material undetachably connected in an electrolyte-tight manner to the cable sheath (2). The conductors (3) at the cable end are flattened and surrounded by a metal member (4) to form an apertured terminal shoe for receiving a terminal post of the battery, the arrangement being such that when the shoe is attached to the post the post is enclosed by the housing (8). Advantageously, the housing (8) is filled with a casting resin after connection has been made to the battery terminal. Preferably, a coating (11) is provided integrally with the housing (8) to cover the shoe (3 and 4) and part of the terminal post.
