Miniature model tanks 86, 88 each have a sloping front, sloping side walls and an upstanding rear wall 84. Balls 78 of dense material such as steel are directed towards the tanks during play, by an elongate guide member (not shown), to propel them forwardly (Fig. 2) or knock them over (Fig. 3). The apparatus includes a hinged board having an undulating surface and an upstanding peripheral wall. The wall has detachable members in the regions where it crosses the hinge. IMAGE
