PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE STEEL PIPE BY CENTRIFUGAL CASTING

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce a composite steel pipe with a simple operation by forming an alloy cladding having the m.p. lower than the m.p. of the material to be cast on the inside surface of the steel pipe, rotating the pipe as a die at a high speed and charging the melt of the inside material therein. CONSTITUTION:An alloy cladding 2 consisting essentially of, for example, Ni having 1,050-1,100 deg.C m.p. and high wettability with iron is formed by thermal spraying, etc. to about 0.5-1mm. cladding thickness on the inside surface of a steel pipe 1. The pipe 1 as a die is rotated at a high speed and the melt of an inside material, for example, high chromium cast iron is charged therein to form an inside layer 3. The composite steel pipe consisting of the outside material layer 1, the alloy cladding layer 2 having a low m.p. and the inside material layer 3 is thus produced with the simple operation.
