CONVEYING TYPE GRINDING AND POLISHING UNIT

PURPOSE:To closely grind and polish each outside face of a stairway block by connecting a conveying table, on which a stairway block is fixed being pressedly interposed between a block receiving body and a block pressing body, to a prime mover through a group of gears. CONSTITUTION:In a conveying table 6, a stairway block (a) having an L-shaped section is placed being in contact with a block placing table 8, which is installed in alignment with the top of a longitudinally rectangular supporting body 7, in such a way that its corner part is positioned above a tapered surface 8-3 of the corner part of the placing table 8, at which the right side surface 3-2 crosses with the top horizontal surface 8-1. The block (a) is fixed on the placing table 8, being interposed between a block receiving body 9 and a block pressing body 10, with its front and rear end faces being in contact by pressure with them. The conveying table 6 is slidingly moved on guide rails 4, 4 by means of a driving unit in the direction of a grinding and polishing device 2, to grind and polish the surfaces of the stair tread a-1, riser part 1-2, and the tapered surface on the corner part, of the stairway block (a).
