APPARATUS FOR REMOVING DEPOSITED CARBON ON COAL CHARGING HOLE OF COKE OVEN

PURPOSE:To cut and remove deposited carbon effectively not to affect adversely the coke oven wall and coke product, by means of a hard material powder or granule jetting nozzle provided in a manner of freely turning, lifting and lowering to direct to the deposited carbon layer of a coal charging hole. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus for removing deposited carbon having a powder or granule jetting nozzle 3 inserted in a coal charging hole 2 of a carbonization chamber wall 1. The above-mentioned nozzle 3 is fixed at the tip of a rod 4, which is rotated at 3,200r.p.m. by a turning device constituted of a motor 5, pulley 6 and belts 7, and a frame 10 is connected to a wire 9 of a motorized winch 8 and capable of lifting and lowering freely by guide rollers 11 to jet coke powder on the deposited carbon layer 12 for grinding and cutting. The coke powder is dropped from a hopper 13 by the own weight thereof, introduced with compressed air for atomizing from a fan 14 into a feed pipe 15 and then fed into the jetting nozzle 3.
