MANUFACTURE OF ALUMINUM ALLOY WITH SUPERIOR DUCTILITY FOR IMPACT EXTRUSION AND IMPACT EXTRUDED TUBE

摘要

PURPOSE:To manufacture an impact extruded tube having superior ductility and hard to rupture by impact extruding an Al-Ni alloy slab contg. a specified small amt. of Ni to work it into the desired tube followed by annealing for softening. CONSTITUTION:An adequate amt. of pure Al and an adequate amt. of an Al-Ni mother alloy are melted to refine an Al-Ni alloy contg. Ni 0.2-2.0% as an essential component. An ingot of this alloy is rolled to a plate of 6mm thickness, and a slab of 19mm outside diameter is taken out by punching. This slab is annealed and impact extruded to manufacture a tube of 120mu thickness. This tube is then annealed at 250-600 deg.C for about 1-30min to manufacture a tube having verysuperior ductility and hard to rupture.
