Roofing or partitioning panel - has cork sandwiched between lacquered aluminium foil-coated chipboards and sectional plastics edge members

The sandwich panel is intended for use as a roofing or partitioning element. It comprises a 5cm thick cork layer (d) with 110-120 kg/cu.m density sandwiched between 4mm thick chip board (c,f) with melamine adhesive. The outer faces of these boards are covered with 40 micron thick aluminium foil (b,g) with hammered finish and white lacquer coating. - The longitudinal edges are provided with hollow sectional PVC members (e) with lips in opposite directions for coupling adjoining panels. When used as roofing panels, one side is provided with spaced longitudinal tiling battens (a).
