The duct (16,17) connector has upstanding duct parts (18,19) drawn together by a clamp band (20) made of a similar material which is flexible to glide over the beaded edges (21). Inside the clamp band are embedded reinforcing strips (22). The clamp band covers the entire circumference of the flange connection, and seals the gap between part of duct flanges. The band also retains the flanges in a clamped position. At several spaced intervals, spring-steel clips (23) are fitted.
