CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF HYDROCARBON OILS BY HYDROCRACKING UNDER PRESSURE

In the process for the hydrocracking of coal under pressure, pulverised coal together with fine catalyst particles is pasted with an asphalt-free mixture of middle oil and heavy oil and treated with hydrogen at 100 to 400 bar and 420 to 490 DEG C. The reaction products are passed into a hot separator, a distillate oil for pasting the coal and a residue are separated off as bottom product (sludge), and the gases which leave at the top of the separator and contain the oil produced are passed directly over a fixed bed of hydrogenation catalysts.
