Two worm threads (15, 16) have opposing pitches to one another and work in conjunction with counter blades (18, 19) on a housing inner wall. The blade pitch differs from that of the threads. The two worm threads feed roughly crushed material to the central part of the shaft where fine crushing occurs by means of at least one striker beam fixed to the shaft. The beam ends projecting from the shaft work with counterpieces fitted to the housing inner wall. These, in conjunction with a wall fitted between the counterpieces, determine the degree of fine crushing.
