The shredder consists of a drum (1) rotated by an electric motor (5) via a chain drive (6) and supported by rollers (2) on frames (3). One end of the drum is provided with an emptying lid (7) hinged to the drum shell. The entire length of the drum is divided into several compartments by a number of partitioning rings (9-13), and the other end of the drum is connected to a stationary hopper (8) with a chute (19). Between two adjacent partitioning rings, several circumferentially distributed crushing bars (17,18) are fitted.
