1. Catch closure for doors with a large closing travel tolerance, such as insulated room doors and equipment doors, with an actuating shaft (70) passed through the door leaf (14) and, attached to the actuating shaft, a catch plate (20) with an ascending slope in the direction of fastening which has, arranged successively in the direction of rotation, a plurality of steps at different axial distances from the door leaf (14), which are connected to each other by surfaces (62) with an ascending slope in the direction of fastening but which themselves have no slope or a slightly falling slope, characterised in that the actuating shaft (70) is supported in a housing (22) capable of being screwed into the door leaf (14) and the catch plate (20) has in plan view the shape of a circle trimmed off at a chord and that the catch plate (20) forms a first stop that limits the rotary movement in the direction of opening at a position in which the chord of the catch plate is located outside and approximately parallel to the edge of the door frame or a closure projection (e.g. 17) issuing from this, and a second stop that prevents the catch plate (20) from being turned through more than the maximum desired closing angle.
