Method for dyeing and/or finishing, drying and setting a textile sheet-like material (1) in a continuous process, in which the textile material (1) a) a first passes through an impregnating zone (2) in which a solution containing dye, finishing medium and any necessary auxiliary agents and/or chemicals as well as combustible or organic fluid is applied to the textile material, b) is then dried in a drying zone (3) by burning off the organic fluid, c) then runs over a number of zylinders (19) in a setting zone (4) during which it is set by heat contact transfer and by hot gases utilizing the exhaust gases from the drying zone (3), d) the exhaust gases from the drying zone (3) are subjected to further combustion in the setting zone (4).
