For a superconducting magnet system with a superconducting magnet coil (11), which is wound from a superconducting wire of high critical temperature, such as niobium tin filaments embedded in a bronze matrix or niobium carbonitride layers applied to carrier fibers, the magnet coil (11) being brought to operating temperatures by a two-stage cryogenerator is cooled from about 10 to 13 K, it is proposed that the current feed for the magnetic coil (11) takes place via a flow pump. The flow pump consists of a transformer with primary winding (31, 32) and secondary winding (33) and superconducting switch (34, 35, 36). The superconducting wires of the magnetic coil (11), the transformer (31, 32, 33) and the superconducting switch (34, 35, 36) consist of a material of high critical temperature.
