The thresher comprises a thresher drum (7) made from convex strips (56) attached to end plates with flat strips (108) between the convex strips. All strips are replaceable. A segmental curved plate (8) follows part of the thresher drum profile, from the pressure roller (4) to discharge onto the paddle type feeder (11). The cereals pass over agitator fingers (98), which oscillate vertically, and fall onto a mesh separator drum (16). A fan (13) separates the grain from the chaff, its shaft (93) also driving (94,97) the agitator fingers. The grain is then discharged (35), separate from the chaff.
