The charging in and the style of the imposition data is designated by the layout setting section 5. The imposition result is writed on an image buffer in accordance with the form of the inner code 6 by the development section 7. A picture data in the image buffer is read out and indicated in a CRT by the indicating section 9, a tablet and the like are provided in the letter position input section 10, and an arbitrary letter position indicated in the CRT picture is indicated. The charging into area is designated in the arbitrary position in the picture by the range designating section 5A of the layout setting section 5, and a charging into order of the imposition data to be charged into the designated area is designated by the layout order designating section 5B.
