PREPARATION OF AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF POLYESTER AND EASILY BONDABLE POLYESTER FILM COATED THEREWITH

PURPOSE:To obtain aq. dispersion of fine particles of polyester having improved dispersion stability by dispersing uniformly a polyester copolymer having 0.2-0.8 intrinsic viscosity and a specified compsn. being substantially insoluble in water, in the water contg. no org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:A copolymerized polyester insoluble substantially in water and having 0.2-0.8 intrinsic viscosity and consisting of an acid component consisting essentially of =40mol% terephthalic acid and 0.5-10mol% arom. dicarboxylic acid contg. metallic salt residue of sulfonic acid, and a glycol component consisting essentially of =50mol% 1,4-butanediol or EO adduct of bisphenol A, is synthesized. The copolymerized polyester is dispersed uniformly in water contg. no org. solvent to prepare an aq. dispersion of polyester.
