Anti-theft system for bank-notes - provides invalidation of notes at cash desk e.g. by cutting in half

The system includes the invalidation of each note once it has been received by the cashier. This may be achieved either by perforation, cutting or marking with indelible ink. At the time of cashing the note, the shopkeeper cuts the note in two, transversely so that each half carries the same number. - The shopkeeper takes one half to the bank, and keeps the other half until the bank informs him that the money has arrived. Each participant then destroys his half note and the operation ends. The operation is unsuccessful the half note remains as evidence to support the ensuing claim. (6pp)
