A satellite TV system including a plurality of channel strips (26) and a control computer (14) wherein each channel strip (26) includes a tuner (28) and a modulator (32) matched to each other and are both computer controlled. The turner (28) selects the particular satellite signal and the modulator (32) selects the particular channel position on the TV. Both tuner (28) and modulator (32) circuits include a divide-by-2 component which permits use of lower cost electronic components while producing high quality TV pictures or other outputs.
