The mooring buoy comprises a spider anchored by chains to the sea bed and with a hinging column on a vertical axis coupled to the floating body to be anchored. The coupling between the column (3) and the spider (1), and between the column and the buoy (4) is via a single hinge axis (5), extending horizontally at right angles to the longitudinal axis fo the body. A resetting torque is exerted on the column, holding it, via a stop, in the vertical position.
