Control mechanism for weft-gripper on shuttle-less looms

The mechanism consists of a movable control unit mounted on a loom lay and precisely impulsed by the tilting movement, exactly synchronised with the reciprocating movement of an inserter to which the lay is subjected during weaving. A movable control unit consists of a spindle mounted on the lay through a bush which guides its axial movement. This spindle is constantly impulsed by the action of a helical spring to adopt a limited position defined by a suitable system of stops.
