A regulation device for a positive displacement pump, particularly a semi-rotary cell pump is provided with a flow regulation piston (7) of which the front piston surface is in connection with a pressure room (24) before a choke device (2) presenting at least one choke hole (4) having an openig cross-section which may be modified by means of a control slide (15) secured to the flow regulation piston (7) and of which the rear piston surface is in connection with a fresher chamber (11) after the choke device (2); it is also provided with a transport flow return conduit (14) of which the inlet opening (13) is freed as a function of the position of the flow regulation piston (7). The inlet opening of the choke hole (4) is at least approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the flow regulation pistons (7). The control slide (15) comprises a choke plate (16) which is moveable in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the flow regulation pistons (7) and the inlet opening of the choke hole (4).
