An exercising apparatus used as a handle of skipping rope and/or a hand-grip, wherein two handle-members (1), (1') are connected at one end by a spring means which also functions to bias the two handle members apart, or connected at one end by a hinge structure and biased apart by a helical coil spring retained in the longitudinally extending grooves, and the two handle members (1), (1') are closed or diverged away by displacing the position of a retaining means. And an electronic counting device is provided to the exercising apparatus to count the gripping times and skipping times using a single electric counter. And said electronic counting device is also provided to a handle for a skipping rope or a hand-grip to count the exercising times. And a thumb-grip structure is provided to the handle (or handle member) of a skipping rope with/or a hand-grip structure to be engaged by the user's thumb.
