Method for the transmission of evaluation signals in traffic-metering installations

For transmission of evaluation signals supplied by a number of traffic metering sensors (VS1 to VSn) and used for metering traffic on telephone lines (FML1 to FMLn), it is proposed that these evaluation signals are transmitted via a transmission line (e.g. UEL1) used for TDM operation to a central metering unit (ZER) in successive TDM frames (ZMR). For this purpose, the evaluation signals supplied by the traffic metering sensors for the individual telephone lines, for transmission within a TDM frame, are transmitted twice in the relevant TDM frame. The evaluation signals transmitted within a TDM frame (ZMR) and relating to the same telephone lines are then compared together in the central metering unit (ZER).
