摘要
Vaccine to protect against diseases caused by a microorganism having the outermost shell membrane, in particular, a mycoplasm, characterized in that it contains, as active principle, plasmic membranes of the micro-organism concerned, freed, at least to a large extent from the other constituents of said microorganism. This vaccine is prepared by culturing the microorganism in question, harvesting and lysing the cells by ultrasound and then sedimentation of the membranes by centrifugation and introduction into a usable form for immunization. When the active principle consists of membranes of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae vaccine, administered subcutaneously and / or intramuscularly, effectively protects pigs and litters of sows against enzootic pneumonia.
