The multivibrator has a resistor (R) coupled to the signal input (B) or the signal output (Q) determining the switching time constant of the multivibrator. Pref. the resistor (R) is coupled to the output (Q) of the monostable multivibrator combined with a previous monostable stage to obtain a set/reset flip-flop having two dynamic setting inputs (A,B) and a resetting input (C). The output of the modified monostable stage forms the flip-flop complementary output (Q) and the output of the normal monostable stage forms the other flip-flop output (Q).
