A method is described for generating a force from a temperature difference between a heat emission and heat absorption medium, which method involves circulating a refrigerant in a working cycle between evaporator and liquifier and in which a vapour pressure produced in the evaporator is converted into work via a sliding-vane compressor running in reverse. In addition, an apparatus is described for implementing a method of this type. IMAGE
