- Master cylinder for a braking system of a vehicle

The master cylinder is for a dual circuit vehicle braking system. It has a section for each circuit, each with a feed (3,4) for oil from a reservoir. There is another load connection to the brake cylinders on each side. The joint (17) on the load side has a lip with a piston (12) sliding in it. There is a return spring (13) for the piston and in its side is a radial opening with a lip working with the joint lip. The body has a recess machined normally whereas the piston is finished to a high degree of accuracy.
