In the drawing box for a device for applying marking stripes made of cold-setting colour compound on roadway surfaces, the rear closure wall of the drawing box, in the direction of travel of the device, is also provided with a slide (2') which is displaceable in the vertical direction, in addition to the slide (1') which is attached on the floor and is displaceable in the longitudinal direction. It is thus possible, to lay marking stripes which have wave-shaped thickenings running in the transverse direction at regular intervals. As a result, the markings maintain good night-visibility for vehicle drivers, even in a partially worn state and in heavy rain. IMAGE
