Dual Rankine cycle heat pump, with a single fluid and a single circuit, comprising a boiler, an evaporator and a condenser common to the two cycles, with a feed pump feeding the boiler with liquid from the condenser, and a motor-compressor unit, characterised by the fact that the motor-compressor unit is composed of a stack of elements with a diaphragm coupled by a shaft 7 with axial alternating movement, one or a small number of these elements operating as a motor by being fed by a suitable distribution device between the boiler and the condenser, whilst the majority of the other elements are connected in parallel or in series/parallel between the evaporator and the condenser and operate as a compressor by being equipped with automatic intake 20 and delivery 21 valves, each element being composed in the shape of a stackable and interchangeable unit.
