The invention relates to a device which, in the case of a gear-chain transmission for an irregular circular movement, consists in replacing a gear by a crank. This crank has the main advantage, relative to a toothed non-circular plate, of being easy to produce. Only the ends are designed to provide driving of the chain - the body, acting only as the support, may be shaped so as to give the chain the desired movement and thus obtain better efficiency. This device retains its shape, which is usual for an existing machine and may be mounted in parallel with a toothed plate. The industrial applications of this invention relate especially to bicycles, children's toys, wheelchairs, and the mechanical and agricultural industry. IMAGE
