The packing is a cartridge 1, for a mixer tap mechanism with ceramic plates with circular grinding. The bottom 11 is inserted between a tap body 2 and a stationary ceramic plate 3, and has openings 16, 17 for the connection of the pipes 26, 27 of the tap body with the openings 36, 37 of the plate 3. Flexible tubular seals 12, 13 are inserted in the openings 16, 17 so as to bear on the flat surface 20 of the body 2 and on the plate 3. According to the invention the seals are securely fastened to the bottom 11 along the entire lateral surface 16a, 17a of the openings 16, 17. The seals 12, 13 may be fairly flexible so as to obtain good sealing without excessive strains on the ceramic plate, and without in any way risking being deformed in an unacceptable fashion under axial compression or by depression.
