The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a stuffed article, essentially composed of foam stuffing obtained by expansion of a foam precursor 22 and of a reinforcing plate, optionally profiled, covering one of the faces of the stuffing, this process being characterised in that it consists in fashioning one of the two components of the stuffed article, namely either the foam stuffing or the reinforcing plate, directly on the other component.
