Adding a second printing block to any printer of a text-processing machine or of a computer output under the control of a time divider unit, using asymmetric cassettes according to the blocks and identifying the writing support used make it possible: - either to program the automatic use of a plurality of types of characters and to provide for the use of these on the display screen; - or to double the striking speed by distributing each writing line between the two printing blocks; - or to print simultaneously as many texts as there are printing blocks on the same printer (either the same text or different texts).
