Solid support capable of adsorbing low-density lipoproteins present in a liquid such as blood or blood plasma. This solid support is made of polymeric material based on polystyrene to which groups of formula -SO2R1 are attached, in which R1 denotes the residue of an optionally modified amino acid bonded to the SO2 bridge via its amine functional group and/or groups of formula -(-SO3)xM in which M denotes a metal which does not react with the liquid and x denotes the valency of the metal M. M may be sodium and R1 may originate from glutamic acid. This support can be employed for continuous plasma purification in the blood of a patient in column 1. IMAGE
