PURPOSE:To calculate true max. output, by spatially moving the leading end of an article to be adjusted by a multidegree-of-freedom mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In order to obtain predetermined beam output in a laser diode 16, it is necessary to positionally match the optical axis of a laser diode chip 1 with that of an optical fiber 4. Then, a support 5 is grasped to be moved to X-, Y- and theta-directions to be plastically deformed to perform desired positioning.
