The sealing assembly is arranged on a connector (1) at the end of a cable with electrical conductors. It is provided with a closure member (7 or 14) with snap fit on (8, 2) or in (20, 4) the connector to protecte its terminals (bush 5 or pin 6). The closure member is held captive on the connector body via a longitudinal element with one end secured (13 or 19) to the body. This element consists of electrically insulating material, preferably poly-urethane, and its tensile strength is lower than that of the connector cable. It may be integral with the closure member.
