A method for fabricating furniture intended to be prepacked in kits comprises the formation of conjugated male and female nesting structures along edges and faces of panels. Said structures adapted to authorise a longitudinal sliding of the male structure in the female structure without the possibility of transverse disengagement are configured particularly as a dovetail; they are arranged along edges and borders of panel faces so that each of the panels may cooperate via said structures along at least two opposite sides with adjacent panels. The piece of furniture may be mounted by the user by successively setting in place the panels with respect to each other by nesting their conjugated nesting structures.
