1. A device for automatically processing a data bearing card, comprising : - a casing (15) including an accomodation (25) for receiving such a card ; - a carriage (4) movable with respect to the casing and bearing at least one head (3) intended to perform said processing ; - a device (6, 7) for displacing said movable carriage ; - a device for automatically controlling the displacement of the movable carriage and of the processing of the card ; - a locking device (12, 13, 72) controlled by the movement of the movable carriage, in order to lock the card in its accomodation (25) during the processing phase, characterized in that the control of the locking device is ensured by a roller (11) mounted on the movable carriage (4) and engaged with a cam constituted by a shutter (12) which presents a curved profile (16, 16') and which is rotatably mounted on an axis (19) stationary with respect to the casing.
