COLORED UNSATURATED POLYESTER MATERIAL CONTAINING COPOLYMERIZED METHINE DYES, AND PRODUCTS THEREFROM

Colored unsaturated polyesters contain certain methine dyes copolymerized which condense during polymerization in the polyester chain. The dye portions are thermally stable at temperatures of implementation of the polymer, have stable color, and are not extractable from the polymer, which makes these colored unsaturated polyester particularly suitable for crosslinking in molding accessoires bathroom (sinks, showers, bathtubs), boats, some automotive applications, and the like. The addition of dyes polyester in this manner reduces the risk of non-uniformity of the dye as is the case when the dye is dispersed in the mixture of the unsaturated polyester, the crosslinking agent, catalyst, etc. ., before casting operations, molding and vulcanization.
